The authors observed that French bulldogs were at significantly greater risk than other dogs for narrowed nostrils (42.14 times greater risk), obstructive airways syndrome (30.89 times greater risk), ear discharge (14.40 times greater risk), and skin dermatitis (11.18 times greater risk).

Playful and affectionate, French Bulldogs are generally good with children, and their smaller size makes them better suited to households with younger children than some other breeds.

Frenchies are known for being pretty laid back and adaptable, so they tend to get along well with children of all ages which makes them popular family pets. They are playful so you should always supervise your Frenchie with children to make sure playtime doesn't get too boisterous.

All dogs shed to a certain degree, and the French bulldog is no different. But, part of their appeal as pets is their fine, short, and smooth coat that requires very little to groom and don't shed much. Twice a year, however, they lose their undercoats, which makes their shedding slightly more difficult to manage.
