Neither the French bulldog nor the Boston terrier are known for being barkers. This means that the Frenchton, too, will likely be a relatively quiet breed. This isn't to say that they will never bark, but rather that they will only bark if they feel it is necessary, such as to alert you to the presence of a visitor.

Frenchies will bond with their owners to the point of being possessive. Their "clingy" nature can be caused by separation anxiety. It's also because you make them feel safe. They usually enjoy cuddles, sleeping near you, and sitting on your lap. Female Frenchies can be slightly more affectionate than males.

The authors observed that French bulldogs were at significantly greater risk than other dogs for narrowed nostrils (42.14 times greater risk), obstructive airways syndrome (30.89 times greater risk), ear discharge (14.40 times greater risk), and skin dermatitis (11.18 times greater risk).

Fluffy Frenchies shed more than traditional French bulldogs but not often. You won't have to worry about cleaning hair off your furniture every day, but it does need to be done from time to time. That said, their shedding is minimal compared to some breeds like golden retrievers.
